After a rather tough play, Trigolandia's Chicão Cruz got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 59th minute Dalmo Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Trigolandia's Chicão Cruz got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Dedé Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Trigolandia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
