An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Senna in the 22nd minute of play forced Salimen's goalkeeper David Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardinho Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. David Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Alves in the 43rd minute of play forced Salimen's goalkeeper David Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Salimen defense, Ricardinho Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Xavier. The Salimen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Xavier should have stopped the shot.

Dorival Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Silas Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Salimen's Edmundo Bastos made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silas Braga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmundo Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Braga having to interfere. A collision led to Salimen getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Betinho Ferraz hit a great ball. Acácio Machado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Edmundo Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Bastos struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Silas Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salimen. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Salimen fans cheered their team off the field, for while HARDCORE F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
