Elias Travassos helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes Costa Rica Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Elias Travassos. Edvaldo de Salles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Danilo Arce. Costa Rica Esporte Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tarcisio Arce took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Alcântara. Flávio Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Flávio Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica Esporte Clube. Chicão Cruz hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Tarcisio Arce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Flávio Alcântara made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Tarcisio Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flávio Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Mangueira in the 84th minute of play. José Pedro Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Flávio Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toninho Paranaense's late challenge caught a Trigolandia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toninho Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. Toninho Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Flávio Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Chicão Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Costa Rica Esporte Clube were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
