In the 15th minute, Morrinho SC's Bebeto Goiano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedrinho Tande. Pedrinho Tande yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, Morrinho SC's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Saraiva came free, but Fernandinho de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Morrinho SC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Simões. In the 27th minute of the match Kléberson Saraiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandinho de Salles skillfully saved the ball. Fernandinho de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Abraão in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléberson Saraiva in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandinho de Salles saved Morrinho SC from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Morrinho SC's Juan Messias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Morrinho SC's Fernandinho de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Baiano in the 37th minute of play. Frédson Nascimento hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Dedê Moreira's late challenge caught a Periquito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dedê Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Morrinho SC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dedê Moreira hit a great ball. Fernandinho de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléberson Saraiva in the 60th minute of play. Kléberson Saraiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Fernandinho de Salles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson Saraiva in the 65th minute of play forced Morrinho SC's goalkeeper Fernandinho de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Morrinho SC's Ademar de Alcântara made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrinho Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frédson Nascimento hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Cleiton Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Periquito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleiton Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Morrinho SC's goalkeeper Fernandinho de Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Baiano. 76 minutes into the match, Periquito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Messias came free, but Pedrinho Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Periquito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Abraão to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute of the match Armando Simões shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrinho Tande showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kléberson Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandinho de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Baiano in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Morrinho SC's Bebeto Goiano got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Jacinto Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Morrinho SC booed when Periquito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Abraão in the 88th minute of play forced Morrinho SC's goalkeeper Fernandinho de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandinho de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléberson Saraiva in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandinho de Salles saved Morrinho SC from getting behind. Kléberson Saraiva struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Fernandinho de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Periquito FC. In the 96th minute Juan Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Morrinho SC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
