Albertinho Monteiro started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for EE LEMENSE! Felipe Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joélson Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodriguinho de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Pimenta having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Felipe Xavier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joélson Pimenta was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Joélson Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Freire in the 20th minute of play. Enéas Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enéas Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Curituba got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Queirós. 22 minutes into the match, Curituba's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Xavier came free, but Joélson Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. EE LEMENSE were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Curituba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulysses França took the corner. Américo Borges made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Jairo de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Ulysses França had to leave the field with a concussion. Enéas Queirós hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Joélson Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Freire in the 30th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Felipe Xavier sped through Curituba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joélson Pimenta. If Felipe Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joélson Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho de Sena in the 37th minute of the match. Felipe Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Joélson Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Vito Freire made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Curituba's Joélson Pimenta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

EE LEMENSE's Toninho Jacinto pulled a muscle in his leg after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Albertinho Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as EE LEMENSE's Felipe Xavier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joélson Pimenta. That made the score 1-4 after 57 minutes of play. Curituba's Joélson Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Xavier in the 60th minute of play. If Felipe Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Pimenta having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Vito Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joélson Pimenta. Curituba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Vito Freire took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joélson Pimenta. Joélson Pimenta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Schmidt in the 88th minute of play forced EE LEMENSE's goalkeeper Américo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Freire's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Joélson Pimenta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vito Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Pimenta having to interfere. Joélson Pimenta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauã Fontes in the 93rd minute. Vito Freire's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joélson Pimenta firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the final whistle sounded EE LEMENSE left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Curituba.
