Spectators: 7234 (Terracing: 5427, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) Curituba's Albertinho Monteiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match Gláuber Barros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benê Melo skillfully saved the ball. Benê Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo de Amaral in the 5th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Dário Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrézinho Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Pimenta having to interfere. Joélson Pimenta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrézinho Terra in the 22nd minute. Enéas Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Jairo de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Melo having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Curituba's Enéas Coelho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Benê Melo came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Curituba's Albertinho Monteiro. But to his dismay, Albertinho Monteiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Andrézinho Terra succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 37th playminute. Albertinho Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Melo having to interfere. Albertinho Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Benê Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dário Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th match minute, Curituba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Jairo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Monteiro in the 70th minute of play forced Cats Meow F.C.'s goalkeeper Benê Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Curituba's Arnaldo Schmidt got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Dário Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cats Meow F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dário Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joélson Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haroldo Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Dário Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Pimenta having to interfere. Arnaldo Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Curituba's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Terra came free, but Joélson Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrézinho Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jairo de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Curituba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Albertinho Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benê Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jairo de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After 98th play minutes Jairo de Amaral shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Benê Melo and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Curituba eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
