The Guayra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osmar Mazza should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Arcangelo's Duarte Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osmar Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Raphael Leite recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiago Ferreira. Raphael Leite showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Duarte Cunha made the kick off in the second half. Juninho Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tiago Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aníbal Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Duarte Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aníbal Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guayra's Osmar Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Cunha in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
