The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldinho Cosme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nuno de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ronaldinho França came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Dragões de Santiago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho França couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Dragões de Santiago's goalkeeper Charles Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josué Viana. Valdir Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Dragões de Santiago's Valdo Xavier got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Josué Viana notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Dragões de Santiago's Charles Carneiro. Charles Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute Nuno de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Toscano made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Dragões de Santiago's Elivélton Prado got a free kick in the 51st minute. Valdir Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Carneiro having to interfere. Osvaldinho Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno de Moraes in the 57th minute of the match. Josué Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Josué Viana put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Charles Carneiro. When Nuno de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Dragões de Santiago fans jumped to their feet. Dragões de Santiago's Charles Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Toscano in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dragões de Santiago's Ronaldinho Nogueira got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Torres during the 73rd minute. Araqua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragões de Santiago the free kick. Araqua FC's Osvaldinho Cosme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Araqua FC from getting a goal against them. Nuno de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Osvaldinho Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ronaldinho França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Ronaldinho França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
