Enéas da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute Valdir Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Osvaldinho Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Araqua FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Botelho. Claudinei Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Valdir Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jeremias Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Ivo Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Clube de Regatas Flamengo getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Enéas da Silveira hit a great ball. Jeremias Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Toscano in the 33rd minute of the match. Jeremias Sabóia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abel Catarinense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. Vicente Simão struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Osvaldinho Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube de Regatas Flamengo.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Simão made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Clube de Regatas Flamengo's zone, Josué Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Sabóia came out of the goal and Josué Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute of the match Dalmo Bastos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremias Sabóia skillfully saved the ball. After 70 played minutes Araqua FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Catarinense. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Clube de Regatas Flamengo! Enéas da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Josué Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Valdomiro Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdomiro Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Araqua FC booed when Clube de Regatas Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdir Toscano succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Araqua FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
