After a defensive mix-up in Cacau SS's zone, Fabinho Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Messias came out of the goal and Fabinho Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cauan Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Parangaba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Gomes couldn't finish the play. Luiz Paulo Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Paulo Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Luiz Paulo Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cauan Gomes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faustão Messias having to make a save. In the 16th minute, Glauco Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glauco Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, one of Cacau SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cacau SS. Cacau SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cesinha Barral 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. In the 41st minute, Parangaba FC's Cauan Gomes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Cearense in the 44th minute of play forced Cacau SS's goalkeeper Faustão Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Cauan Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Paraense to make the kick off.
