João Paulo Leites short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Faustão Messias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Faustão Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Téo da Cunha in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Faustão Messias, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 18th minute Luiz Paulo Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, aGalope!'s Osvaldo Passos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 30th minute, João Paulo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cacau SS's zone, João Paulo Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Messias came out of the goal and João Paulo Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pedrinho da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Pedrinho da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Faustão Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Luiz Paulo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Cacau SS's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Leite came free, but Faustão Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustão Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Luiz Paulo Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacau SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Paulo Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 played minutes Cacau SS got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Pernambucano. When Luiz Paulo Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cacau SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Barbosa couldn't finish the play. João Paulo Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Faustão Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Paulo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cacau SS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Váldson Borges hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the aGalope! players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
