Spectators: 7176 (Terracing: 5384, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fiori de Alcântara got the match started through his kick off. When Joaquim Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Cacauzinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Tinoco couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori de Alcântara in the 5th minute of play forced ELOC's goalkeeper Samuel de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cacauzinho's Renato Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Meira in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match ELOC got a corner. Cacauzinho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Guimarães ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Guimarães almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cacauzinho's Renato Tróia did a great save. In the 15th match minute, Cacauzinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Cacauzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Meira came free, but Renato Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Kléberson Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ELOC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléberson Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Josué Xavier came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the ELOC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué Xavier couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Cacauzinho's Umberto Sarmento got a free kick in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Tinoco during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ELOC booed when Cacauzinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umberto Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Cacauzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Meira came free, but Renato Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fiori de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vágner de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes ELOC got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Rossi. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kléberson Meira made the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on ELOC's corner Daniel Guimarães fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Renato Tróia quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Josué Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. ELOC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Massa in the 72nd minute of play forced ELOC's goalkeeper Samuel de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Kléberson Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Umberto Sarmento fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacauzinho's protests and gave Umberto Sarmento a yellow card for diving instead. Samuel de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori de Alcântara in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Frank Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacauzinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cacauzinho's Vágner de Almeida got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Daniel Guimarães sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cacauzinho's Renato Tróia didn't even have to move. If Josué Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ELOC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cacauzinho for a fine match.
