He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PraçaUnited reached it. Olívio Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitório Neves's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Olívio Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, PraçaUnited's Olívio Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Eduardo da Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Virgílio Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the PraçaUnited fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Brodel couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
