Adrianinho Branco came out of the goal and Nando Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute Nando Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrianinho Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Costa in the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of Tupancireta booed when Liberato EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tupancireta's Tião Bastos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Liberato EC. After having played for 35 minutes, Nando Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liberato EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Giovani Costa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 39 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adrianinho Branco was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Tupancireta's Adrianinho Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Nunes in the 42nd minute of play. Nando Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Adrianinho Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Giovani Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrianinho Branco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovani Costa to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nando Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Adrianinho Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liberato EC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
