Liberato EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alexandrita SS the free kick. 31 minutes into the match, Alexandrita SS's Claudinei da Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelsinho Macedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Alexandrita SS's Claudinei da Silveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nelsinho Macedo. Nelsinho Macedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Nando Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Liberato EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Nunes couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, Liberato EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Salgado to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinei da Silveira was the one to do the kick off. Yan Santos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edu Goiano. Nando Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Yan Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandrita SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Giovani Costa 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After 61 played minutes Liberato EC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Antunes. Ulysses Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Macedo having to interfere. In the 67th minute Claudinei da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovani Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexandrita SS's goalkeeper Yan Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giovani Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Nando Nunes made a precise shot to the right of Yan Santos. Alexandrita SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.
