In the 4th minute, Reinaldo Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo José Vale's late challenge caught a Maracai F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo José Vale helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, one of World Strong Litoral:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for World Strong Litoral. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Maracai F.C. Jailson Romero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cafu Corrêa. 0-1. Cafu Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cafu Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to World Strong Litoral getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Paulo José Vale hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Marcel Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, World Strong Litoral's goal looked a bit too open when Eurico Meira came free, but Cafu Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Elssen made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Sérgio Luz sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Maracai F.C's zone, Sérgio Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils Elssen came out of the goal and Sérgio Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Marcel Corrêa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of World Strong Litoral's Cafu Corrêa. Cafu Corrêa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Eurico Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracai F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in World Strong Litoral's zone, Charles Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Corrêa came out of the goal and Charles Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind World Strong Litoral's goalkeeper Cafu Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Charles Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eurico Meira came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Maracai F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eurico Meira couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Edgar Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maracai F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico Meira scored 0-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cafu Corrêa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eurico Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cafu Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Maracai F.C's Eurico Meira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cafu Corrêa. That made the score 0-4 after 54 minutes of play. Charles Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Eurico Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maracai F.C's Eurico Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgar Teles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cafu Corrêa. That made the score 0-5 in the 68 minute of play.
