The supporters of Malvadão AC booed when Alexandrita SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 played minutes Alexandrita SS got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Trancoso. The corner led Malvadão AC's Martin Maxwell to fire away a dangerous shot which Yan Santos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leonardo Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Yan Santos made a huge save. With a little luck, Alexandrita SS's Yan Santos got control of the ball when Leonardo Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Warren Metzger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Warren Metzger came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Malvadão AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Metzger couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Metzger in the 25th minute of play forced Alexandrita SS's goalkeeper Yan Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandrita SS's Yan Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Metzger in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Leonardo Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malvadão AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Alexandrita SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Santos having to interfere. Warren Metzger might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yan Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Warren Metzger ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute Leonardo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Yan Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Warren Metzger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malvadão AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Warren Metzger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yan Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Leonardo Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yan Santos. Alexandrita SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Malvadão AC's Alfredão Arruda got control of the ball when Ulysses Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonardo Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Claudinei da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yan Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Malvadão AC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alexandrita SS:s goal. When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Alexandrita SS's Sandro de Castro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alfredão Arruda. 80 minutes into the game, Ciro Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alexandrita SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malvadão AC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alexandrita SS's Ciro Saraiva got a free kick in the 80th minute. Ciro Saraiva hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Warren Metzger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Santos having to interfere. Yan Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warren Metzger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredão Arruda came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudinei da Silveira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 98th minute.
