When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hudson Zanette made a kick off. If Tales Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serginho Novaes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute Alfredo Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro's Perivaldo Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Lauro from getting a goal against them. After 83 minutes, Celso Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cervejeiro Futebol Clube and the Lauro players grew even worse after the yellow card.
