Osmar Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gualter Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulysses Botelho in the 21st minute. Dé dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Osmar Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredão Lucas in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osmar Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dé dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osmar Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. If Ulysses Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BlackLions FC's Ulysses Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dé dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Osmar Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to BlackLions FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Diego Abreu hit a great ball. Osmar Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredão Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Nascente SS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Alfredão Lucas made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Nascente SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. When Oséas Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BlackLions FC's protests and gave Oséas Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Oséas Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alfredão Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Nascente SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredão Lucas couldn't finish the play. Nascente SS's Lucas Couto suffered a concussion after 59 minutes and had to leave the field. After 59 minutes, Osvaldo de Alcântara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BlackLions FC and the Nascente SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nascente SS booed when BlackLions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nascente SS's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 62nd minute of the game, when Iuri Severo after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of BlackLions FC's goal. Iuri Severo was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. If Cléber de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osmar Freire made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Dé dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 67 minutes, Ulysses Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BlackLions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulysses Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gualter Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ulysses Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luís Fábio Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, one of Nascente SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nascente SS. The referee gave BlackLions FC a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Róbson Arósio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nascente SS's Gualter Arce. 2-1. If Ulysses Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nascente SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BlackLions FC.
