Vágner Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Gabriel Mattos in the 38th managed to get into a good position. Carlos Alberto Cardoso hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Baluarte FC defense, Leandro Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Váldson Terra. The Baluarte FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Váldson Terra should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Wilson Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nego Beiço F.C's Waldir Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Waldir Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Cardoso in the 85th minute of play forced Nego Beiço F.C's goalkeeper Waldir Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Wilson Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Cardoso in the 88th minute of play.
