The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredão Lucas during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Nascente SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Lucas to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luiz Simões in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualter Arce saved Nascente SS from getting behind. The supporters of Nascente SS booed when Guarani FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Dieguinho de Toledo in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Guarani FC's Anselmo Pinho. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luiz Simões was the one to do the kick off. Guarani FC's Laércio Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Palmeira in the 52nd minute of play. The Guarani FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Guarani FC's Pedro Luiz Simões looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 96th minute Pedro Luiz Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guarani FC fully deserved thier win.
