F.C. booed when Guarani FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doni Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Laércio Antunes made a huge save. Olavo do Vale's late challenge caught a Guarani FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olavo do Vale helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, R.R.A. F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo do Vale to maneuver through the defense. Geovanni Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Godoi having to interfere. Laércio Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geraldo Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute, Olavo do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Geraldo Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Pedro Augusto Vergílio in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Guarani FC's Gilson Queiroz. After 40 played minutes R.R.A. F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Betão de Lara. 41 minutes into the match, R.R.A. F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Salgado came free, but Víktor Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víktor Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Víktor Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Guarani FC's Gilson Queiroz got a free kick in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geraldo Favoretto to make the kick off. The throw-in from Pedro Augusto Vergílio in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Guarani FC's Anselmo Pinho. After a rather tough play, Guarani FC's Gilson Queiroz got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guarani FC's zone, Geraldo Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laércio Antunes came out of the goal and Geraldo Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luiz Simões took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Víktor Godoi. Víktor Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Víktor Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
