After having played for 21 minutes, Percy Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curitiba Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Curitiba Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Gomes came free, but Pedrinho Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Percy Melo made a kick off. Pedrinho Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osmar Freire was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Osmar Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Melo in the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Percy Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curitiba Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Curitiba Eagles's zone, Ulysses Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Ceresso came out of the goal and Ulysses Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulysses Botelhos short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Pedrinho Ceresso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 90 played minutes Curitiba Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Peixoto. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind BlackLions FC's goalkeeper Osmar Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, BlackLions FC's Hermínio Dionísio got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Percy Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
