Miguel Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Narciso Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bernardo Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Fumaquim FC's Narciso Matos got control of the ball when Miguel Arantes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Júlio Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Fumaquim FC's Osmar Albuquerque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Miguel Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valério Palmeira's late challenge caught a Pacova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valério Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fumaquim FC's Valério Palmeira got a free kick in the 30th minute. Narciso Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pacova's Bernardo Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardo Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Narciso Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Hernani Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fumaquim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osmar Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Salgado having to interfere. After some careless play in the Fumaquim FC defense, Miguel Arantes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Matos. The Fumaquim FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Matos should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Pacova booed when Fumaquim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pacova's zone, Hernani Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Salgado came out of the goal and Hernani Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 61 minutes, Glauco Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pacova and the Fumaquim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Glauco Leite hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 64th play minutes Bernardo Valadares shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Narciso Matos and just under the crossbar into goal. 72 minutes into the match, Fumaquim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Arantes came free, but Narciso Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Narciso Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Bernardo Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. 85 minutes into the match, Bernardo Valadares notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Fumaquim FC's Narciso Matos. Narciso Matos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 89 minutes, Miguel Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pacova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardo Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Narciso Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pacova's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
