An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tande in the 3rd minute of play forced BlackLions FC's goalkeeper Osmar Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Oséas Furlan suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Nuno Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Freire having to interfere. Nuno Luz's late challenge caught a BlackLions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Luz helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Lauro got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Luz. Diego Abreu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Alfredo Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Freire having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, BlackLions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Luz came free, but Osmar Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Tande might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osmar Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Tande ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th match minute, Lauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Luz to maneuver through the defense. Osmar Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Alfredo Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Freire having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Luz in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osmar Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute of the match Lauro got a corner. BlackLions FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dé Fonseca ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Lauro's Dé Fonseca to fire away a dangerous shot which Osmar Freire despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Osmar Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Tande in the 37th minute of play. If Nuno Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Nuno Luz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulysses Botelho was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Alfredo Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lauro's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the game, Ulysses Botelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Perivaldo Pombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osmar Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Nuno Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, one of BlackLions FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BlackLions FC. Osmar Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Luz in the 76th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Alfredo Tande fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Osmar Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Tande in the 85th minute. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Nuno Luz sped through BlackLions FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Osmar Freire. Nuno Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Osmar Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Freire having to interfere. Lauro played a much better game than BlackLions FC and deserved their victory. The BlackLions FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
