In the 2nd match minute, Pacova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Matos struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Júlio Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baluarte FC. Davi Zonta charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davi Zonta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Pacova got a freekick which was hit by Davi Zonta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Cardoso in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Salgado saved Pacova from getting behind. When Dráuzio Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baluarte FC's protests and gave Dráuzio Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pacova booed when Baluarte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Baluarte FC's zone, Miguel Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Váldson Terra came out of the goal and Miguel Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Miguel Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Pacova booed when Baluarte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Váldson Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Pacova's Bernardo Valadares in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baluarte FC's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardo Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. After 37 minutes, Miguel Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pacova and the Baluarte FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, one of Pacova:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pacova. In the 44th minute, Matheus da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Negri's late challenge caught a Baluarte FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Negri helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pacova's Nicolas Negri got a free kick in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Wilson Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baluarte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the game, Anselmo Mendonça recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Váldson Terra. Anselmo Mendonça showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Miguel Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wilson Matos came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Baluarte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Matos couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Negri got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Pacova's Nicolas Negri got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Matos in the 81st minute of play forced Pacova's goalkeeper Júlio Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson Terra having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Carlos Alberto Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Salgado was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Wilson Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
