Cavalo Sem Freio's Marcus de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Cavalo Sem Freio from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the game, Tony Aparecido recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcus de Sena. Tony Aparecido showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 22nd minute Tony Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Osvaldo Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Aparecido received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus de Sena came out and tried to block the shot, but Tony Aparecido slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 32nd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Aparecido to strike the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Souza made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Frank Camargo sent off a good shot on target. Vila Nova F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
