Faustão Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Freire having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, noname's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Pombal came free, but Eurico Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eurico Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrézinho Pernambucano went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 38 played minutes noname got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Vieira. If Pedrinho Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the noname defense, Pedrinho Tepedino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Correia. The noname fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Correia should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eurico Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tostão Pombal's shot from short distance in the 91st minute.
