With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natanael Perez in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Matos saved Franca SC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Ceresso in the 7th minute of play forced Franca SC's goalkeeper Percy Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Franca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Perez came free, but Percy Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Franklin das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Franca SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birutas FC the free kick. After 15 played minutes Franca SC got a freekick which was hit by Franklin das Neves. Franca SC's Percy Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Franca SC from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Franca SC's goalkeeper Percy Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Ceresso. In the 20th minute Natanael Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes Franca SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Trancoso who took care of the corner kick. Samuel Trancoso made a great header on Birutas FC's corner, it was just that Franca SC's Percy Matos managed to reach the ball for a save. Arlindo Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Travassos in the 32nd minute of the match. Natanael Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natanael Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Nicolas Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birutas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percy Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natanael Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Percy Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Percy Matos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Ceresso in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Nicolas Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birutas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Travassos made a kick off. If Nicolas Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Nicolas Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute Natanael Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Franca SC's Adilson de Toledo got a free kick in the 64th minute. Franca SC's José Vítor de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Birutas FC's Arlindo Albuquerque got control of the ball when José Vítor de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Ceresso couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Matos having to interfere. In the 95th minute Natanael Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Birutas FC were the better team. Birutas FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
