Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) Travessos FC's Noel Peres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Charles Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Queiroz having to interfere. Charles Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Raúl Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Belmonte getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Hamílton Pinho hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Belmonte's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Bittencourt came free, but Raúl Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Charles Bittencourt made a precise shot to the right of Raúl Queiroz. Belmonte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Travessos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Ramalho came free, but Durvalino Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Travessos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Dias to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Belmonte's Joaquim Ramalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Durvalino Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charles Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Bittencourt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Travessos FC's Charles Bittencourt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Joaquim Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Travessos FC's Durvalino Lopez got control of the ball when Ernesto Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Noel Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Travessos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúl Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. Raúl Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Peres in the 62nd minute of play. Noel Peres did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Raúl Queiroz 64 minutes into the match. Raúl Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Cacá Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cacá Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 85 minutes into the match, Belmonte's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Peres came free, but Raúl Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Bittencourt took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Queiroz. Raúl Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Charles Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Queiroz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Peres's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When Váldson Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belmonte's protests and gave Váldson Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Váldson Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúl Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Peres in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belmonte's goalkeeper Raúl Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Noel Peres came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Travessos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Peres couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Belmonte's Hamílton Pinho got a free kick in the 97th minute. Travessos FC's Noel Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
