Spectators: 7201 (Terracing: 5402, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorginho Cardozo started the match with the kick off. In the 4thth minute of the game Jorginho Cardozo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra Itália's Deivid Couto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deivid Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson da Costa in the 8th minute of play. Frédson da Costa took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Deivid Couto. Deivid Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palestra Itália! Frank Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Raí da Mata shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renan Freitas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Penetras FC's Renan Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Penetras FC from getting a goal against them. Guga Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deivid Couto having to interfere. Renan Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emílio Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Jorginho Cardozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deivid Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Campidelis in the 40th minute of play. If Jorginho Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 44 played minutes Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Romário Nunes. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Guga Campidelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Deivid Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guga Campidelis ran back to his position shaking his head. Robinho da Mata shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 58th minute, Jorginho Cardozo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Deivid Couto, passed just outside the right post. Renan Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Palestra Itália's Deivid Couto got control of the ball when Guga Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Cardozo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Deivid Couto was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Cardozo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Deivid Couto was relentless in the 98th minute of the game.
