Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Meireles to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bagre Ensaboado FC's zone, Noel Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazinho Zonta came out of the goal and Noel Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Travessos FC's goalkeeper Durvalino Lopez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Noel Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mazinho Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Peres in the 85th minute of play. Osvaldinho Abreu hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Noel Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Travessos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazinho Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Noel Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Travessos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Travessos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
