Raí da Mata was slow to take the kick. During this time Palestra Itália's players had a chance to rest. When Emílio Paraense fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palestra Itália's protests and gave Emílio Paraense a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Paraense. 39 minutes into the game, Birutas FC's Nicolas Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Deivid Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natanael Perez to make the kick off. Emílio Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 64 minutes in the game, Natanael Perez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Deivid Couto having to interfere. Juvenal Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Tinoco took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arlindo Albuquerque. Arlindo Albuquerque dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Birutas FC's Natanael Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Birutas FC's Samuel Trancoso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Palestra Itália's zone, Natanael Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deivid Couto came out of the goal and Natanael Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Birutas FC's Nicolas Ceresso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Deivid Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deivid Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natanael Perez in the 91st minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
