Spectators: 7262 (Terracing: 5448, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorginho Cardozo started the match with the kick off. Guga Campidelis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Percy Matos came out and tried to block the shot, but Guga Campidelis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Percy Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorginho Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 15th minute, Guga Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penetras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jorginho Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Matos having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Franca SC's goalkeeper Percy Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Cardozo. After a defensive mix-up in Franca SC's zone, Guga Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Matos came out of the goal and Guga Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guga Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adilson de Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adilson de Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adilson de Toledo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute of the match Joélson Loyola sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renan Freitas skillfully saved the ball. Jorginho Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Percy Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penetras FC. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Leonel Travassos made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Franca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Cardozo came free, but Percy Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Guga Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Guga Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Campidelis in the 64th minute of play forced Franca SC's goalkeeper Percy Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guga Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Guga Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penetras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guga Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Penetras FC's Jorginho Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorginho Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Campidelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percy Matos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guga Campidelis ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the match, Jorginho Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Matos. Franca SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Penetras FC's Guga Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Franca SC's goalkeeper Percy Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Penetras FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
