Birutas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúl Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Natanael Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raúl Queiroz was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 56th minute, Belmonte's Ernesto Santos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arlindo Albuquerque. Arlindo Albuquerque yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 61st minute, Natanael Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belmonte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Trancoso was slow to take the kick. During this time Birutas FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Belmonte's goalie and right to Oscar Pernambucano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Belmonte's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Raúl Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Pernambucano in the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Birutas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Ramalho came free, but Arlindo Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Birutas FC defense, Ernesto Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arlindo Albuquerque. The Birutas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arlindo Albuquerque should have stopped the shot.
