Amauri Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, CFC's Franklin Pombal got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 34 minutes, Nestor Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CFC and the Porcos SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Walmyr Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Nunes in the 39th minute of play. Porcos SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the CFC defense, Rony Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernandinho Tavares. The CFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernandinho Tavares should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute Rony Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rony Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
