In the 14thth minute of the game Marcus Queiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polenta FC's Breno Araújo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Polenta FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jacinto Vides hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the game, Marcus Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Breno Araújo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breno Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Queiroz in the 20th minute of play. Marcus Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nilson Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Real brasil's Gilmar Corrêa got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Carlos Fernando Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polenta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breno Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a little luck, Real brasil's Luís Fábio Antunes got control of the ball when Jeferson Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Fábio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Lopez in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilson Queirós made a kick off. In the 79th minute, Álvaro Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Polenta FC's Christiano Lopes got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Polenta FC. Jorge Neiva stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Fábio Antunes. 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Real brasil eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
