Apuhy's Conrado Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Conrado Quintal sped through Teixeira AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matías de Carvalho. 7 minutes into the match, Conrado Quintal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Teixeira AD's Matías de Carvalho. Matías de Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th match minute, Teixeira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Apuhy's Conrado Quintal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matías de Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th match minute, Teixeira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Apuhy's Edmílson Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Maranhense in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Apuhy's goalkeeper Edmílson Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perivaldo Andrade. After a rather tough play, Apuhy's Conrado Quintal got a free kick in the 26th minute. Apuhy's Edmílson Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Apuhy from getting a goal against them. In the 29th match minute, Apuhy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Manfredo Dracena might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmílson Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manfredo Dracena ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Teixeira AD's Edmílson Ribeiro threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from William das Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natanael Senna during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Teixeira AD booed when Apuhy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Teixeira AD's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Quintal came free, but Matías de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juvenal Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Conrado Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías de Carvalho having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Conrado Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apuhy's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matías de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Perivaldo Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Apuhy were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remo Maranhense to make the kick off. Juvenal Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Apuhy's Conrado Quintal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matías de Carvalho. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. Conrado Quintal did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Matías de Carvalho 59 minutes into the match. Carlos Fernando Gonçalves's late challenge caught a Teixeira AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Fernando Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Apuhy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Apuhy's Carlos Fernando Gonçalves got a free kick in the 64th minute. Rafinha Matorin did an outstanding performance 65 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-5 to the right of an irritated Edmílson Ribeiro in the goal. Edmílson Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Maranhense in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Conrado Quintal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matías de Carvalho. The goal made the score 1-6. Matías de Carvalho was a little too slow when Conrado Quintal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-7. Juvenal Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías de Carvalho having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Conrado Quintal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matías de Carvalho. Conrado Quintal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. Humberto Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías de Carvalho having to interfere. Matías de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. After 98 minutes, Paulinho Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apuhy and the Teixeira AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Apuhy getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Paulinho Pinho hit a great ball. Apuhy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
