Spectators: 7344 (Terracing: 5510, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carlos Fernando Lopez got the match started through his kick off. Manfredo Paraíba made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Apuhy's Natanael Senna. In the 7th minute of the match Paulinho Pinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Breno Araújo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th minute, Carlos Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Conrado Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polenta FC's Breno Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Tande in the 23rd minute of play. Breno Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Quintal in the 24th minute. Jeferson Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Edmílson Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Costa in the 28th minute of play forced Apuhy's goalkeeper Edmílson Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carlos Fernando Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Quintal got free with Breno Araújo in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Conrado Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrado Quintal to make the kick off. Conrado Quintal struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Breno Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apuhy. Apuhy's Edmílson Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson Nogueira in the 62nd minute of play. Carlos Fernando Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Juvenal Tande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conrado Quintal struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Breno Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apuhy. 76 minutes into the match, Polenta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Senna came free, but Breno Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apuhy's Conrado Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Polenta FC defense, Conrado Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Breno Araújo. The Polenta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Breno Araújo should have stopped the shot. Conrado Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Araújo having to interfere. Miguel Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Jorge Neiva sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Apuhy's Edmílson Ribeiro didn't even have to move. Carlos Fernando Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Ribeiro having to interfere. Apuhy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
