Hugo Porto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Lima went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 61st minute Anselmo Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Porto was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Araranguá EC's zone, Carlinhos Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu de Queiroz came out of the goal and Carlinhos Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Matorin struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Cafu de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IBIGALAXY FC. Carlinhos Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu de Queiroz having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Araranguá EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while IBIGALAXY FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
