In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind IBIGALAXY FC's goalkeeper Hugo Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, Marlenopolis's Rafa de Lima made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Porto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlinhos Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Zé Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Marlenopolis's Zé Pernambucano got control of the ball when Dorival Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Fábio Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Porto having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Matorin was the one to do the kick off. If Luís Fábio Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Marlenopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Trevisan came free, but Zé Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Marlenopolis's zone, Dorival Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pernambucano came out of the goal and Dorival Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dorival Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Luís Fábio Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Trevisan in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute Luís Fábio Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Marlenopolis booed when IBIGALAXY FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Marlenopolis's Raphael Favoretto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 86th minute Luís Fábio Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Marlenopolis's Luís Fábio Donatello ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hugo Porto. Hugo Porto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Marlenopolis's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
