In the 7th minute, Conrado Quintal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Conrado Quintal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Leite was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Juvenal Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apuhy's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Conrado Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Leite having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Labrea FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Fonseca. Doni Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Edmílson Ribeiro made a huge save. Conrado Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Leite having to interfere. Jardel Camargo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Erasmo Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Quintal might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Quintal ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the game, Apuhy's Conrado Quintal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasmo Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Carlos Fernando Gonçalves hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Conrado Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Labrea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Tande came free, but Erasmo Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Fernando Gonçalves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Apuhy were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Conrado Quintal made the kick off in the second half. Rony Custódio took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmílson Ribeiro. Edmílson Ribeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Natanael Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Leite having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Alfredinho Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apuhy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erasmo Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Conrado Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Ferreira in the 80th minute of play forced Apuhy's goalkeeper Edmílson Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 minutes, Natanael Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apuhy and the Labrea FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Natanael Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Apuhy's Conrado Quintal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erasmo Leite. Erasmo Leite yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Conrado Quintal put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Erasmo Leite. 92 minutes into the game, Apuhy's Conrado Quintal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasmo Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Alfredinho Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erasmo Leite stood somewhat misplaced when Conrado Quintal came free in front of goal and shot 2-7 to the left of him in the 100 minute. Apuhy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
