After 11 played minutes Apuhy got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Torres. After 14 played minutes Apuhy got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Quintal. 16 minutes into the match, Apuhy's goalkeeper Edmílson Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armandinho de Sousa. Carlos Alberto Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Quintal in the 18th minute of play. Conrado Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Guerra having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Bazooka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Quintal came free, but Carlos Alberto Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Conrado Quintal put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Alberto Guerra. After 31 minutes, Tião Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bazooka FC and the Apuhy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Apuhy booed when Bazooka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Conrado Quintal made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Alberto Guerra. Bazooka FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Juvenal Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfredinho Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Bazooka FC defense, Conrado Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto Guerra. The Bazooka FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Guerra should have stopped the shot. The Bazooka FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Apuhy were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conrado Quintal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rui Rezende hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alfredinho Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Paulo Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apuhy made a substitution. Nilson Simões replaced Paulinho Pinho. With his leg Carlos Alberto Guerra managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Apuhy's Conrado Quintal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 74th minute, Conrado Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Carlos Alberto Guerra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 84 played minutes Bazooka FC got a freekick which was hit by Tião Ramalho. Conrado Quintal had several of the Bazooka FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Carlos Alberto Guerra as he didn't even see the shot coming. Edmílson Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armandinho de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Alberto Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Quintal in the 94th minute. If Alfredinho Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
