Valdo Vinhas made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ratz FC's Laerte Simões. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Simões in the 12th minute of play forced Piem's goalkeeper Cláudio Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Daniel Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Ratz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Meira to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raphael da Rocha made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Celsinho de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ratz FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Laerte Simões hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Marco de Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Cláudio Sergipano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lauro de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Juan Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Sergipano having to interfere. Oséias Quintal's late challenge caught a Piem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Juan Simões had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cláudio Sergipano. Piem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Simões was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ratz FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
