If Celsinho de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Gerber during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Piem got a freekick which was hit by Simão Gerber. Guajarauna's Angelo de Brito couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Piem. Júnior Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Angelo de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guajarauna's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Piem could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guajarauna throughout the match.
