During the 15th minute of the match Serginho do Vale completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Serginho do Vale a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Felipe Baptista in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alfredinho de Souza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to SÃO PAULO FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Wilian Maciel hit a great ball. Guajarauna's Mathias Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Tepedino in the 28th minute of play. Frederico Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Azevedo having to interfere. Mathias Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Olavo Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrício Amorim hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guajarauna's goalkeeper Mathias Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mathias Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luisão Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Tepedino to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisão Arósio during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Frederico Gerber sped through Guajarauna's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mathias Azevedo. SÃO PAULO FC played a much better game than Guajarauna and deserved their victory. The Guajarauna players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
