Uberlândia Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Botafogo Paraense Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Guilherme Arruda came free, but Ernesto Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16th play minutes Frederico Dantas shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Ernesto Prata and just under the crossbar into goal. 20 minutes in the game, Frederico Dantas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ernesto Prata having to interfere. Botafogo Paraense Clube's Ernesto Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Arruda in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Márcio Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botafogo Paraense Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Márcio Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabinho Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Botafogo Paraense Clube's Ernesto Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Botafogo Paraense Clube from getting a goal against them. Ernesto Prata came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Frederico Dantas. But to his dismay, Frederico Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Guilherme Arruda to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Guilherme Arruda took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Prata. Ernesto Prata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Luís Guilherme Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uberlândia Esporte Clube's protests and gave Luís Guilherme Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Guilherme Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Márcio Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 played minutes Botafogo Paraense Clube got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Alcântara. Luís Guilherme Arruda took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Prata. Ernesto Prata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. If Frederico Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Dantas in the 67th minute of the match. Paulo José Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Ferreira having to interfere. In the 74th minute Luís Guilherme Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Botafogo Paraense Clube got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Cordeiro. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Mário Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uberlândia Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Guilherme Arruda in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Botafogo Paraense Clube's Nilson Alcântara got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
