Spectators: 7229 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) OLIVA's Amadeu Leme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rogério Alves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Luís Barral having to make a save. When Nando Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ipueiras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Madureira couldn't finish the play. After 10 minutes, Isaltino Furlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OLIVA and the Ipueiras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 played minutes OLIVA got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Furlan. In the 12th match minute, OLIVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Agnaldo Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando Madureira in the 18th minute. If Amadeu Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luís Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Amadeu Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. André Luís Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Ipueiras FC's Nando Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agnaldo Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Ipueiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. André Luís Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Alves in the 41st minute of play. Jarbas Varela hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, OLIVA's Amadeu Leme got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Régis Urbano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaltino Furlan got free with André Luís Barral in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Luís Barral was a little too slow when Amadeu Leme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-1. André Luís Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogério Alves in the 59th minute. Agnaldo Amorim came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Ipueiras FC's Nando Madureira. But to his dismay, Nando Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. André Luís Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, OLIVA's Rogério Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Luís Barral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rogério Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ipueiras FC's André Luís Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Leme in the 73rd minute of play. In the 81st minute, Yan da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Luís Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Elivélton Mendes hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. André Luís Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Leme in the 93rd minute of the match. If Régis Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agnaldo Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Madureira in the 97th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
