Chicão Fonseca came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Frederico Dantas. But to his dismay, Frederico Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 17 minutes, Tarcisio Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uberlândia Esporte Clube and the Parnaiba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tarcisio Cordeiro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Luís Guilherme Arruda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chicão Fonseca having to make a save. Frederico Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Fonseca having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Parnaiba FC's goalkeeper Chicão Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Dantas. Nico Xavier hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Luís Guilherme Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Fonseca having to interfere. Luís Guilherme Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Parnaiba FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Luís Guilherme Arruda scored to the left of an out of position Chicão Fonseca, making the score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válter Abreu was the one to do the kick off. In the 56thth minute of the game Luís Guilherme Arruda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Parnaiba FC's Chicão Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Guilherme Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Chicão Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederico Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chicão Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Guilherme Arruda went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Fabinho Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Uberlândia Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. Luís Guilherme Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Fonseca having to interfere. Chicão Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The referee ignored Parnaiba FC's protests and gave Pedro Luiz Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Parnaiba FC's Pedro Luiz Lucas got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 79th minute, Mário Maranhense sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Parnaiba FC's Chicão Fonseca didn't even have to move. 81 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme Arruda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Chicão Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Luís Guilherme Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Luís Guilherme Arruda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chicão Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the game, Dedé Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fabinho Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Manoel Camargo sent off a good shot on target. Uberlândia Esporte Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
