In the 7th minute of the match Mário Maranhense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ünal Gürtuna skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Real Alviverde booed when Uberlândia Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pedro Luiz Damião fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uberlândia Esporte Clube's protests and gave Pedro Luiz Damião a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Uberlândia Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz Damião to maneuver through the defense. Fabinho Ferreira came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Alviverde's Fabiano Trevisan. But to his dismay, Fabiano Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 16 minutes, Nelsinho Hermes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uberlândia Esporte Clube and the Real Alviverde players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Nelsinho Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Luís Fabiano Urbano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ünal Gürtuna was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Uberlândia Esporte Clube's zone, Luo Zheng Guang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Ferreira came out of the goal and Luo Zheng Guang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beto Garcia struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Fabinho Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Alviverde. After a defensive mix-up in Uberlândia Esporte Clube's zone, Beto Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Ferreira came out of the goal and Beto Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Luís Guilherme Arruda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ünal Gürtuna was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 47th minute, Beto Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Mário Maranhense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ünal Gürtuna skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Guilherme Arruda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Uberlândia Esporte Clube booed when Real Alviverde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Luís Guilherme Arruda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ünal Gürtuna. After a rather tough play, Uberlândia Esporte Clube's Luís Guilherme Arruda got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Real Alviverde's Fabiano Trevisan in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uberlândia Esporte Clube's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Nogueira in the 67th minute of play forced Real Alviverde's goalkeeper Ünal Gürtuna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabinho Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luo Zheng Guang in the 70th minute of the match. When Fabiano Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Real Alviverde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Ünal Gürtuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Nogueira in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 79th minute Luís Guilherme Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünal Gürtuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fabiano Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Ünal Gürtuna made a huge save. A collision led to Real Alviverde getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Beto Garcia hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Luís Fabiano Urbano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ünal Gürtuna was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Fabinho Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Trevisan's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Fabiano Trevisan sped through Uberlândia Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabinho Ferreira. The Real Alviverde supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uberlândia Esporte Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Uberlândia Esporte Clube.
